Uses of Revenue
The State of Florida does not provide funding for university parking programs. Instead, revenue earned from parking permit, meter, and citation fees are used to pay for parking systems on campus.
Where does the money go?
- The Garage Project -Within the next 10 - 15 years, (2018 - 2023) USF Sarasota-Manatee anticipates the need for a parking garage. Permit prices will increase each year in order to provide a base for long-term financing of the garage.
- Construction, improvement, and maintenance of university parking lots.
- Debt payments
- Salaries of staff to operate parking business and motorist assistance program.
