Attached is a photo taken on April 6 of John Avildsen, Oscar award winning director of Rocky, The Karate Kid, and 8 Seconds, before a lecture at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee.  The lecture featured a full screening of his hit movie Lean on Me and a Question and Answers session with the director.  About 100 film students from MCC, Ringling College, the University of Tampa, USF Sarasota-Manatee, and area high schools attended the event.  Many students wore Rocky Balboa t-shirts and stayed after the lecture to talk with Avildsen.
