USF Sarasota-Manatee delivers USF gear to professional development school

Dr. Richard King, Dean of Education at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, delivers USF supplies
to G.D. Rogers Garden Elementary Principal and USF graduate Wendy Hererra at the elementary school’s brand new
campus, set to open this Fall. G.D. Rogers Garden is a professional development magnet school in Bradenton
staffed by regular school district faculty plus USF Sarasota-Manatee education students performing
internships. The elementary school will be a “green school” and will feature the Junior Master Gardeners
program, sponsored by USF Sarasota-Manatee, W.G. Mills and Turner Tree and Landscape. The school’s colors are
green and gold, the same as USF.
