Chief of Police Wesley Walker - I have been a lifelong resident of this area except during my service in the U.S. Army. I started in law enforcement with the Bradenton Police Department in 1984. During my six years with that agency I served as a Patrol Officer, Tactical Team Member, and Narcotics Detective. I came to the Campus Police Department as a Patrolman in 1990. I have served as Chief of the Campus Police since 2005.
Officer James Marion - I worked for the NYC Dept of Corrections then for NYPD retiring after 20 years. I have been a Florida resident since 1995 with over 12 years at Campus Police Department. I am interested in current events and politics. I enjoy working out, playing golf, swimming, classical music, classic rock, and oldies. Best quote: "If I had known I'd lived this long I would have taken better care of myself."
Sergeant Ken Vickers - I was with the NYPD for 22 years and retired as a Lieutenant. I have been with the Campus Police since 1996 and hold a BS in Criminal Justice. I am married with two children and have two grandchildren.
Officer Mike Mahaney - I have been a Police Officer with the Campus Police Department since August 2003. I am married with one daughter.
Officer Peter Spees - I am originally from southern California where I spent 24 years in electronics manufacturing of military and commercial equipment. My wife and I moved to Florida and I started a career in Law Enforcement. I've been a Police Officer with the Campus Police Department for four years.
Lieutenant Michael Kessie - I was born in Chicago Illinois and began my police career in 1979 at a police department in Northwest Indiana where I retired as Deputy Chief of Operations after 22 years of service. After moving to Florida with my wife in 2002, I worked 2 years for the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and have been employed with the Campus Police for 7 years. I hold a degree from Indiana University and have attended Command Officer Development School at the Southern Police Institute. I have three children and five grandchildren.
Officer John Tully - I am a native of Albany County in upstate New York and retired from the Colonie Police Department as a Detective Sergeant after 25 years of service. During that time I supervised officers in road patrol and the Criminal Investigations Division, including the Special Investigations, Computer Crimes, Forensic and Juvenile units. After moving to Florida in 2002 I worked in the field of Private Investigations for four years. I attended St. Petersburg College where I obtained a degree in Criminal Justice. I am married with four children and live with my wife and two sons. My oldest son is an attorney working for the State of New York and my daughter is an elementary school teacher in Manhattan.
Officer Christopher Rivett - I am a native of Massachusetts where I graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College earning an AS in Criminal Justice. I then attended Salem State College where I earned a BS in Criminal Law. I served a tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps. I worked in the Juvenile Justice system in Massachusetts and later relocated to Florida where I was a State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol for two years and a Deputy Sheriff with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office for twelve years where I was a Patrol Deputy and Detective. My wife and I have a daughter and enjoy spending our spare time with family, friends, at Disney World, and taking trips back to New England as much as possible. I enjoy playing Baseball, Hockey, and Golf as well as attending Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Boston Bruins games whenever I can. I am happy to be with the Campus Police Department to serve the New College and USF Community.
Officer Caswell Coley, Jr. - I was born on the sunny island nation of Jamaica and thus the natural tropical climate of Florida attracted me to the Southwest Florida area. I worked as a Police Officer for the City of Punta Gorda Police department for five years before making the change to the Campus Police Department. I enjoy fishing as well as spending time with my son. I do enjoy meeting people, so please feel free to say hello.
Officer Shawn Carter - I was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and raised in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. After high school I joined the U.S. Army Infantry and served a four year enlistment. I eventually moved to Florida and began my law enforcement career after college in 1997. My interests are history and travel. Favorite quote: "Due to the current economy, the light at the end of the tunnel has been cut from the budget."
Officer Jennifer Andreoli - I am a native of Connecticut where I graduated from Manchester Community College earning an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. I relocated to Florida in 2007. I enjoy the sunshine and the beach, as well as spending time with my family. I am very happy to be a part of the Campus Police Department.
Officer Kelley Fisher - I am a native of Western New York, born and raised in Fredonia. I moved to Florida in 2008 to pursue a career in Law Enforcement and graduated from the Police Academy in Fort Myers. I enjoy all sports and especially enjoy rooting for my favorites the Bills, Sabres, and Yankees. I come from a family of Law Enforcement Officers and am happy to be with the Campus Police Department.
Police Communications Operator John Rice - I have been with Campus Police Department for 3 years as a Public Communications Operator. I have lived in Sarasota for 14 years and moved here from New Jersey, where I lived for 41 years. I have a wife of 29 years, two sons and one daughter two of which are married. I am also the proud grandpa of a new granddaughter.
Senior Police Communications Operator Dale Arnett - I moved to Florida in 1980 and graduated from college in 1984. I owned and operated a residential lawn service for ten years. I was employed at a local resort and country club for fourteen years in the safety and security department. I started working with the Campus Police Department in 2005 as a Police Communications Operator.
Police Communications Operator David Doweiko - I began my career in my birth city of Cranston, RI as a police explorer. From there it was on to hospital security on weekends and nights while attending college. I completed my first college degree in 1978 with a BS in the Administration of Justice. I gained full time employment with the state of Rhode Island first as an attendant to the mentally disabled and later as a psychiatric attendant to narcotic and alcohol addicted persons. I achieved my career goal with the University of Rhode Island Police Dept. in 1979 and worked there until retirement in 2006. A second BS degree was awarded in 1999 for Bachelor of General Studies. I retired as a Campus Police Lieutenant. I moved to Florida in 2006 where I was hired by the Campus Police Department as a Police Communications Operator.
Police Communications Operator Denise Cooper - I moved to Florida from Oregon in 2006 where I was employed by the American Red Cross. I have been working as a Police Communications Operator with the Campus Police since August 2007.
Police Communications Operator Stephanie Franklin - I grew up in East Tennessee and have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from East Tennessee State University. I spent 8 years as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher for Washington County, Tennessee. I decided to finally make my dream of living close to the beach a reality, even though it meant moving away from family and friends, and moved to the Sarasota area. I joined the Campus Police Department as a Police Communications Operator in 2011.
Administrative Assistant Susan Williamson - I grew up in a rural community near Muncie, Indiana. After graduation from High School, I attended Ringling School of Art for a year and fell in love with Sarasota. After graduating from Ball State University in Muncie, I moved to Sarasota in 1975. I began a career in Human Resources in 1978 and was hired by the Sarasota Campus of USF as the Campus Human Resources Representative in 1991. In 2003, I transferred to the Campus Police Department as an Administrative Assistant. I am married to my husband David for 23 years and we have a daughter, Allyson, whose husband is an Army MP stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas and a beloved baby, Otto the cat.
