Transfer Admissions
USF Sarasota-Manatee accepts appropriate transferrable semester hours from regionally-accredited institutions. Admissions evaluates transfer credit to determine how it countes toward degree programs

Select the number of college credit hours that you have to view the appropriate Transfer Admission Requirements:
Below 12 Hours
Applicable for students applying for Fall 2013 or later.
Applicants with fewer than 12 transferable hours earned after high school are considered First Time in College (FTIC) applicants and must apply for Freshman Admission.
Between 12 and 29 Credit Hours
Applicable for transfer students applying for Fall 2013 or later.
Applicants with 12 but fewer than 30 transferable hours will be considered for admission with (1) have a cumulative post-secondary GPA greater than 2.0 (2.5 for business and education), (2) be in good standing with the last post-secondary school attended, (3) meet the USF Sarasota-Manatee FTIC scale with High School information.
Between 30 and 59 Credit Hours
Applicants with 45 credit hours or greater can apply for the Fall 2012 semester. Applicants with fewer than 45 credit hours can apply for the Fall 2013 semester.
Students with at least 30 but fewer than 60 transferable hours must (1) have a cumulative post-secondary GPA greater than 2.0 (2.5 for business and education), (2) Be in good standing with the last post-secondary school attended, (3) submit a high school transcript with a minimum of a 2.5 weighted GPA, (4) provide minimum test scores on the SAT of 460 in Critical Reading, 460 in Mathematics, and 440 in Writing or on the ACT of 19 in Reading, 19 in Mathematics, and 18 in English/Writing.
60 or More Credit Hours or AA degree
Applicants with 60 or more transferable semester hours or an A.A. degree from an institution within the Florida College System or State University System will be considered for admission with a 2.0 or higher postsecondary GPA. Limited access programs in business and education require a 2.5 transferable GPA.
