Dr. Osborn taught elementary education in the public schools of New York and Florida before teaching at the University of Connecticut and the University of South Florida.  As a public school teacher, she was chosen among teachers nationwide to participate in the S.T.R.I.V.E. program of the National Science Foundation where she collaborated with researchers at Oakridge National Laboratories to design curricula for the New York City Public Schools.  She holds a Master's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction.  Her teaching experience ranges from the undergraduate to graduate levels in both face-to-face and online instruction in a number of courses including:  Schools and Society, Introduction to Teaching, Diversity for Educators, Foundations of Curriculum and Instruction, and Supervision of Curriculum and Instruction.  Dr. Osborn has also supervised elementary and secondary interns at various levels of their development.
