Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Andrew Whitmore is an Instructor in Information Systems/Decision Science at USF Sarasota-Manatee. Professor Whitmore’s teaching interests lie in the field of Information Systems. He has recently taught classes such as Database Management, XML, Statistics, and Management Information Systems. He has published on the topics of Open Source Software, Information Visualization, Computer Simulation and Public Sector Information Systems. He holds a PhD in Information Science from the State University of New York at Albany, an MS in Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Economics from Cornell University. He has worked in industry as an Economist and as an IT Auditor.
