Donna M. Trent, Visiting Instructor in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, holds
a Ph.D. in Sociology from Tulane University, a M.S.Hyg. in Community Mental
Health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, a M.Ed. from
Tulane School of Education, and a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Newcomb
College. Dr. Trent has taught at Webster University, Eckerd College, and

International Sociological Association, American Sociological Association,
American Psychological Association, American Management Association, Society for
the Advancement of Management, International Association of Business and
Society, Association for Practical and Professional Ethics and Oxford Roundtable
at Pembroke College, Oxford University. As an Applied Sociologist, she has
consulted with organizations for evaluation and diagnosis, organizational
change, leadership development and strategic planning. Some of the
organizations she has worked with include Domestic Abuse Shelter Homes, Inc.,
the Sarasota Human Services Planning Association, Manasota Lighthouse for the
Blind, Sarasota County Compass, Manatee County Emergency Medical Services
