Prerequisites
There are two state-mandated common prerequisites for this degree.
ENC 1101  Freshman English I
ENC 1102  Freshman English II

Six semester hours earned in courses taught in the English Department, each with 6,000 words of evaluated writing for a total of 12,000 words.

Bachelor of Arts Graduation Requirement
This degree requires college level foreign language. Please contact an advisor for more information.

Course of Study
All undergraduate English majors must complete 36 upper-level semester hours, following the course of study presented below. A minimum of 15 upper-level English hours must be taken at USF.

Students must earn a "C" grade or better and maintain a 2.5 GPA in the English major to fulfill graduation requirements.

Students can complete the entire course of study for the B.A. degree in English at USF Sarasota-Manatee, but not all English electives are available on this campus.
