USFSM provides free-of-charge professional development and technology training for faculty and staff. We conduct scheduled sessions throughout the semester on a wide variety of topics, and we’re available to develop on demand training to meet your specific needs. It’s part of our total care approach to instructional support.
Walk-ins are always welcome! However, we encourage you to pre-register, so that we can better meet your needs during the session.
Don’t see a scheduled session on a topic you want to know more about? Need specialized training for a unique department or program initiative? We’ll develop an individual or group session that meets your needs. Please contact us, and let us know how we can help you meet your personal and professional development goals.
Quality Matters is a faculty-centered, peer review process that is designed to certify the quality of online and blended courses. It is also a professional development framework, which provides the foundation for the training provided by E-Learning Service at USFSM.
The university has chosen to adopt QM because it is a leader in quality assurance for online education and has received national recognition for its collegial approach to continuous improvement in online learning. E-Learning Services is committed to the implementation of Quality Matters standards for the design of online and hybrid courses.
